As your photographer it is my job to protect what is already perfect. Your session is curated around your love for one another, favorite things to do together, and are child-led. Your time behind my lens will feel like a casual hang with an old friend that's admiring from a distance, camera in hand, capturing you as you enjoy favorite activities together. I ask only this of my clients- to have an open heart and embrace the magic in unpredictable moments.
I draw inspiration from that vulnerability and find beauty in the unplanned, the way light can almost make a moment feel holy, windblown hair, wholesome giggles, playfulness, and intimacy. When you work with me, having a good time is mandatory, laughing uncontrollably is normal, and spontaneous dancing is always encouraged. Call me old school, but I love a good phone conversation. After I receive your contact form, I will reach out via email to let you know your date is available with my pricing guide attached. Then we will set up a quick phone call to chat and discuss details, questions, and the vision you have in mind for your photos.
I'll send over your contract and invoice to secure your date/time after we talk. Once I receive both back, you're officially booked! Everything is kept secure and available to you 24/7 in your client portal.

I create a customized playlist made with you in mind and we're sure to bust a few moves. I will capture the moments that will surely give you goosebumps when you look back on them decades from now.

Heck yea! My second most favorite part of the process is finally here! I'm off to my editing cave for the foreseeable future- jk! I have an entire arsenal of snacks, a cozy blanket, dogs snuggled up under my feet, baby by my side, and a bomb Spotify playlist blasting. I will be working diligently to deliver your gallery within 2 weeks!
This is the time when my husband likes to be extra sneaky and take embarrassing videos of me attempting to sing and dance in my chair while editing away. No, you'll never get to see these! Just trust the process friends!

I am part of the last generation to grow up where flipping through albums full of photographs was standard. I went stir crazy waiting on my photos to be printed so I could pick them up and spend hours looking at them.
You deserve better than your photos disappearing into a virtual cloud. Your photos quite literally gain value over time. We will work together to make sure your photos are printed and live outside of your screens. You have 24/7 access to a private online gallery where your photos can be professionally printed and kept safe in an heirloom photo album.

Styling you and your loved ones is incredibly exciting as we take an intimate look at your personalities, what you feel most "you" in, the location that best fits you, and things such as your favorite colors so we can customize your session to be the most honest reflection of you.
what do i wear to my session?
The short answer is no. I put the same amount of dedication towards mini sessions as any other session and therefore I found there's not much need for sessions that limit our time together or your image count.
My best work comes from spending time getting to know you intimately before your session, spending quality time with you the day of your session, and continuing to love you long after.
I feel I can best serve you when your session aligns with my carefully crafted client experience.
Do you offer mini sessions?
I hate to say it, but I have a passport that has never been used. I know, I know. Help a sister out and book me somewhere epic?! In all seriousness, I would love to travel and document your story somewhere that is special to you.

Do you offer destination/Travel Sessions?
Absolutely! You should be asking any photographer you're considering hiring this question. I am super detailed about having multiple back up options on both my computer and on hard drives. Your images are backed up right away following your session.
Your edited images are stored on a password protected online gallery for your convenience. I always recommend you download your gallery first thing in as many places as you want so you can access them anytime! Printing your photos is also a fool-proof way of ensuring the safety and longevity of your images.
Do you back up my photos?
Investing in a photo session goes way beyond the click of my camera and a gallery full of images. These are the memories your family will be cherishing generation after generation. The value of your photos only increases over time.
I value the investment you're placing on documenting these memories which is why you have the choice to either pay in full when booking or to break your investment into two equal payments due in full before your session takes place. My books fill up very fast and the sooner you book, the longer you have until your entire balance is due.
do you offer payment options to choose from?
Trust me, I am as excited to see the final images as you are. The backing up process of your images begins the moment I get home from your session. I usually start editing the next day. Each individual image is carefully hand-edited by me.
My normal business hours are Monday-Friday and will be the days I am editing my little heart out. I value this time as it takes me back to how each image felt and I definitely cry happy tears along the way. You will receive your full online password protected gallery in two weeks or less. I am getting butterflies just thinking about you seeing your gallery for the first time!
How long will it take to see my images?
At this time, no. Don't get me wrong, I love some good family loving, but the more people that are involved, the less I can focus on the style of images that drew you to my work in the first place.
Over time, I have found that extended family sessions are not the best fit with my documentary style of photography. This approach allows room for concentrating on small details and savoring intimate moments. We need time to capture the true essence of who you are as a unit, but also individually. We simply can not do that with a large number of people.

Travel fees will vary situation to situation, but I’m ready to go! Traveling out of state is subject to flight and lodging fees. Anything over 3 hours away from my home in Knoxville, TN is considered a Destination Session.
